Amish Country

couldn't help but take a picture of the town where the amish live. Intercourse, PA..anyone else find this a bit funny? =)


This is Brenton and his best buddie Jet. They are just about the same age and have so much fun together (when they're not beating each other up)

We decided for one of our Saturday girl outings we would go check out amish country in Pennsylvania. So we hopped in our cars and drove an hour into another place in time..or at least it seemed to be. We were out in the middle of the beautiful country with rolling green hills, beautiful, well kept farms, and the best part, the Amish! They were everywhere.. hanging laundry out to dry, plowing their fields w/ horses and old school plows, driving around in their buggies. It felt like we had stepped back in time to have a glance at how the pioneers went about their days.

While their we were able to visit an amish farmers market, and check out an amish festival. There we were in the mist of hundreds of amish. We took the kids on a little pony ride, checked out the small petting zoo, and ate some delicious homemade amish ice cream. YUMMY it was good! They had tons of trackers there on display and Brenton couldn't get enough of them. Every time I turned my head he was off and heading to another one. The trip couldn't have been more fun and we were all in agreeance (nope can't figure out how to spell that word) that THE AMISH ROCK!!
